• Alicia is Cam’s mother, who has relentlessly pursued solutions for her daughter ever since Cam’s diagnosis as a child. Unlike Cam, she clings to hope and optimism as a way to protect herself. A firm believer in fate, magic, horoscopes – whatever it takes — Alicia is determined that Cam will beat this thing.

PERRY

• Age: Legal age 18 to play 15
• All Ethnicities
• Perry is Cam’s younger half-sister. Friendly, outgoing, athletic and effortlessly cool, everything in life just seems to come more easily to Perry than it does to Cam. Cam tries not to resent Perry for it, but there’s an unfairness at the heart of their relationship that Cam finds deeply annoying. It’s easy to sit back and see what unfolds when life usually works out for you! But the truth is, Perry looks up to her big sister and is terrified of losing her.

ASHER

• Asher, 18, is exactly who you’d imagine falling in love with if you were moving to a small seaside town for the summer. Handsome, easygoing, confident, great with power tools, Asher works as a waiter at a shingled shack on the water called The Lobster Pound and definitely won Best All Around in his high school yearbook.
