FABLEHAVEN
FEATURE FILM

KENDRA SORENSON

• Female
• Age: 13+ to play 13
• Lead role
• Kendra is smart and creative, but hides her light under bangs, glasses, and a case of crippling shyness. She writes fantasy fiction in her journal, and her classmates regard her as hopelessly odd. In fact, she’s lightly in touch with another world, but doesn’t know it yet. During a summer vacation at Fablehaven Farm in rural Connecticut, Kendra gradually learns that her grandparents are the guardians of a magical world of witches, naiads, imps and goblins — and that it’s her destiny to inherit Fablehaven and keep at bay the forces of evil. A young woman whose heart is pure, accompanied by her foolhardy-brave brother, Kendra learns to master a few small magical arts — and in the process, begins to master herself.

SETH SORENSON

• Male
• Age: 10+ to play 10
• Lead role
• Never far from his AirPods, Seth is Kendra’s younger brother, and he believes that Adult Rules are made to be stretched, broken, and then hammered into splinters. On a vacation in rural Connecticut and Fablehaven farm, he soon learns that his Grandpa is stern and angry for a good reason: the family farm is a place of magic, and access to magic must be closely guarded, lest it be horribly misused. The kind of brave troublemaker who was put on this earth to misuse magic, Seth gets himself and others in danger again and again before he can learn to respect the art of sorcery.
