Character is Jacob – Male, 12 or older to play 12–13, Black. Jacob is adjusting to life without his father. The only person he played basketball with. Now in a new town, living in his fathers old home, Jacob feels somewhat lost, but amidst it all, he remains stoic, and tries to keep a positive outlook. A bright, capable, and athletic kid who’s in a wheelchair. He’s got a quiet inner fire that comes out on the court. Jacob’s a competitor. An adaptive athlete. He’s got a sixth sense for where the plays going and where he needs to be, and when he scores, it’s precise. Jacob is a born leader, and is always willing to take the shot. LEAD
Note: Seeking actors for the role of Jacob who uses a wheelchair. Experience in wheelchair basketball a plus.
