Story line is siblings unite at a parents funeral

CADE: (white, male, early 30s) CADE is the stoner philosopher of the family, often lost in his own thoughts and prone to deep, meandering reflections that don’t always make sense to those around him.

BECCA: (white, female, 18) BECCA is the wise and introspective baby of the family, sporting a maturity beyond her years that often surprises her older siblings. Though quiet and thoughtful, she has a keen sense of observation and isn’t afraid to speak up for herself.

SHELIA: (50 – 60, white, female) is the take-no-prisoners aunt, fiercely determined to control every detail of her brother’s funeral and the family’s future. She’s commanding, assertive, and often overbearing.

BRIAN: (50 – 60, white, male) is the family’s well-meaning but somewhat out-of-touch uncle. Though a successful businessman in his own right, he wields a quieter, more empathetic approach than his sister, often overshadowed by her dominant nieces and nephew.

MICHAEL (LEAD ROLE): (male, late 30s, any ethnicity). MICHAEL is the absurdly anxious and inexperienced director of the funeral home. Squeamish about all things bodily and the existence of death itself, he could not be less comfortable in his job.
