ANNA SHEPARD – 18 years old. Anna’s charming, unfiltered and the kind of girl who thinks she knows everything but is about to learn she doesn’t. Anna’s bright, spontaneous, charismatic and a loyal friend to her best male friend Jamie. More focused on having a bright future than a boyfriend, she’s never been “all about the guy” unlike her perpetually single mom who she judges as living a seemingly small life.

This is a story of a girl who thinks she has nothing left to learn or experience in her small hometown of Cambria until she gets stuck for the summer and decides to “practice” for her real life. What starts out as practice, quickly becomes reality, and by the end of summer, she will know what it feels like to fall in love, and what it feels like to have someone fall in love with her, and the experience will totally upend her life.
